It is with Heavy hearts that we regretfully announce the unexpected passing of Tyrell Tyson Brooks, age 40, of East Preston, on June 18, 2025 in the QEII Halifax Infirmary site. Born April 27 1985 in East Preston, NS. He was the son of, Lee and Brenda Brooks; and adopted parents, Danny and Angie Sykes.

Tyrell was employed by Front Line Traffic Services. He was known for his big personality, his girls were his whole world, and he had a heart of gold. In his past time, he enjoyed cinema, comedy and family!

Besides his parents Tyrell leaves to mourn his companion of 15 years, Michelle Powers; daughters, Raya, and Lillian; son, Dominick; brother, Jemar (Courtney); sister, Natasha (Dartmouth); grand parents, Daisy Smith, Earl Brooks (East Preston); God parents, Lillian Williams, Donna Grant (William), Charmaine Thompson (East Preston); aunts, Sharon Williams (Toronto), Sheila Johnson (Garry) Barrie Ontario, Veretta Brooks (Dartmouth), Glenda Brooks (East Preston), Earl Brooks Jr (Lori) Edmonton; and Many nieces, Nephews and Friends.

He was predeceased by great grandmother, Lillian Irene Nurse; grand mother, Evelyn Melvina Brooks; grand father, Garry Smith; and uncles, Blaine and Webster Williams.

We would like to thank the staff of QEII 5.2 ICU for all their care, support and compassion.

A Celebration of Life will be held, Thursday June 26, 2025 at 1:00pm in East Preston United Baptist Church 206 Upper Partridge River Rd., East Preston, NS, B2Z 1H3, the ceremony with the Rev. Dr. Joyce Ross officiating.
