Milton Francis Power Obituary

Milton Power, 76

Glace Bay, N.S.

It is with deep sadness that we, the family of Milton Power of Glace Bay, announce his passing on Saturday, June 21, 2025, at home surrounded by his loving family. Milton was the son of the late Patrick and Anne (Neary) Power.

Milton was a proud and hardworking Pipefitter for almost 40 years and was a member of UA Local 682. He was quiet by nature yet strong willed. Endlessly resourceful, he could fix anything with next to nothing. He enjoyed relaxing by watching TV, with Coronation St. being his favourite show. He spent most of his time with his furry friends Ruby and Mittens, and Friday nights were spent having a cold beer with his son Pat.

Milton is survived by a son Patrick (Sylvia) Power, Glace Bay; two daughters Debbie (Trevor) Leudy, New Victoria, and Sherry (Michael) Gibson, Head of St. Margarets Bay; grandchildren: Jessica (Karla), Patrick (Morgan), Michaela (Josh), Vincent, Brett (Dakota), Chase, Sarah (Journey), Bryce (Claire), Hayden (Ali); one great-granddaughter Malaya and nieces and nephews.

Alongside Milton’s parents, he was predeceased by his companion Florence Murphy, brother Michael Power and sister Patricia MacDonald.

To honour Milton’s life, donations may be made to The Canadian Cancer Society or a charity close to your heart.

“Like the tide, he came and went quietly-but his presence shaped the shoreline of our lives.”

Cremation has taken place under the care and compassion of T.J. Tracey Cremation and Burial Specialists, 370 Reserve St., Glace Bay. 902-849-4199.
