It is with sadness and much grief that we announce the passing of Joanna Marie Grant in Halifax, NS on June 6, 2025 at the age of 45 years.

Joanna was a beautiful soul. She was kind and caring. The words “I love you” were spoken frequently to those nearest and dearest to her.

Joanna is survived by her mother, Jill Grant; sister, Heather (Alex Mitchell); nieces, Jessica Grant, Emily and Anna Mitchell; and nephews, Jake and Jaxson Mitchell; aunt, Jeanette Grant; cousins, Kim Grant (Rick Rowe), Kelly Bruce (Cameron), Richard Grant (Lisa), David Grant (Jacqueline), as well as members of the Cumby family. Lovingly remembered by special friend, Joseph Boutilier.

Predeceased by her father, Kevin Cumby.

Cremation has taken place with burial at a future date.

Visitation will be held on Saturday June 28, 2025 from 10am to 12pm, followed by a Celebration of Life at 12pm both in T.J. Tracey Cremation and Burial Specialists, 71 McQuade Lake Crescent, Beechville, NS, B3S 1C4. Reception to follow.
