Craig Robert Armitage, 55 of Halifax.

It is with deep sadness that we announce the passing of Craig Robert Armitage on June 6th 2025, after a very short battle with leukemia.

Craig was a lifetime resident of Rockingham Nova Scotia, residing on Melody Drive and graduating from Halifax West High School.

He was a lover of movies of all types, especially the Star Wars franchise. Movies truly made him happy.

Craig started his 33 year career at a movie rental store then onto Famous Players Theatres, Empire Theatres and finally Cineplex Theatres where he was an Assistant Manager. He enjoyed his work and his work friends.

Recently Craig became an active member of St. Peter’s Anglican Church, Birch Cove where he enjoyed spending time on the Parish Council. He was actively helping plan the 75th anniversary of the church.

Cooking was a great passion, he loved cooking and sharing recipes with family and friends. He was always interested in the newest gadgets and appliances.

Craig will be so deeply and dearly missed by his parents Shirley and Robert Armitage. He was predeceased by his grandparents, Lillian and George McAuley; Margaret and Albert Armitage.

Funeral Service will be held Sunday June 22nd 2025 at 1pm at St. Peter’s Anglican Church.

Reception to follow in the church hall.

A private interment will be held at a later date.
