It is with profound sadness that we announce the passing of our Mom, Elizabeth (Betty) MacDonald a beloved mother, grandmother and great-grandmother on June 5, 2025 at the age of 85.

Mom had unwavering strength, grace and kindness, leaving a mark on the lives of all who knew her.

Mom was a devoted mother to Jo-Anne (Bernard), Julie (Travis) and Cindy (Jim). She was a loving grandmother to Nicholas (Jacqueline), Jason (Kiley), Amanda (Devin) Josh, Chad (Kaitlyn), Holly (John). Mom was a treasured great-grandmother to Alex, Lucas, Rosie, Connor, Liam, Cole and Senna, known to them as (Nanny Betty). She also leaves behind sister, Dorcas Shaw. Mom's family was her entire world. She loved her family so much and was so very much loved by her family.

Mom was an avid dart player in years past as well as being a statition for the Men's dart league, which she took so much pride in doing. She loved playing baseball. Mom loved playing cards with her sisters and nieces on a weekly basis.

Mom was preceded in death by her husband Junior; parents, John and Annie Billard; brothers, Bobby and Doug; and her sister, Isabel and Great-grandson, Baby Jack MacLaughlin.

Mom, we love you so very much. We miss you dearly but to know that you are reunited with Dad and that the both of you are smiling together again makes our hearts feel less broken.

A Funeral Service will take place on June 17, 2025 at 2:00pm at St. Timothys Church in Hatchet Lake, NS. A gathering will take place at the church following the service.

A private burial will take place at a later date.
