James Michael “Jimmy” Ogley, 62

It is with heavy hearts that we the family announce the passing of James Michael “Jimmy” Ogley, 62, on Sunday, May 25, 2025, in the Cape Breton Regional Hospital with family by his side. Born and raised in Glace Bay he was the son of the late Walter “Buster” and Anne (Tracey) Ogley.
He enjoyed watching hockey where he cheered on his favorite team, the Toronto Maple Leafs, playing proline, fishing, and spending time with his family. Jimmy worked at the fish plant, in carpentry, and Lums and Tolis in Ontario.
James is survived by his partner Gail Rowe, stepchildren Amanda, Steven (Megan), Andrew (Julianne), sister Kathy (Brad), Gilbert, Glace Bay. His five grandchildren Micheal, Kyle, Kendra, Landon, and Gerry (Boopie), goddaughter Darlene as well as many aunts, uncles, nieces, and nephews.
Along with his parents, James is predeceased by his brothers Joey and Tommy, nephew Robbie and niece Kary.
Cremation has taken place under the care and compassion of T.J. Tracey Cremation and Burial Specialists, 370 Reserve St., Glace Bay, N.S. (902) 849-4199. A graveside service will take place on Thursday, May 29, 2025, at 3 p.m., in St. Anne's Cemetery, Wallace Rd, Glace Bay.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Lung Association.
We, the family, would like to thank the EHS paramedics, and the staff in the ICU at the Cape Breton Regional Hospital.
