It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Lloyd Merylin Hartlen, 87 of Bedford, NS on May 19, 2025.

Lloyd was born in Halifax, NS and was predeceased by his parents, Frank and Jennie Hartlen, brothers Gerald, Reginald, Russel and sister Edna.

Lloyd is survived by his loving wife of 66 years Barbara (Landry) with whom he had a happy and full life; his children Michael (Debbie), Mark (Kathy) and Wendy whom are so thankful to have been able to call him Dad; his grandchildren Brett (Haley), Courtney (Jeremy), Morgan (Brian), Mitchell (Jessica), Patrick, Amanda (Nick) and Matthew (Kathrinalyn) for whom he was a constant, supportive Pup; and it gave him great pride to have attained the rank of great grandfather to Taylor, Mason and Addison as well as step great grandchild Hayden. Lloyd is also survived by his sisters, Barbara Hartlen and Joan Shaxon.

Lloyd worked 35+ years within the printing business, namely Allen Print. Lloyd was an avid hunter and looked forward to the annual hunting trips with family and friends. Lloyd had a love for dogs, more specifically Chico whom he missed every day. We all have many happy, fun memorable times with our Dad and Pup that we are so grateful for; too many to mention.

We would like to thank all the health care staff that have assisted Lloyd over the past year.
