Born in Halifax on December 11, 1959, Linda was the cherished daughter of the late William "Bill" MacDonald and Colleen (Hennigan) MacDonald. She pursued her studies in medical transcription at Cape Breton Business College and found joy and purpose in her career as a Medical Transcriptionist.
Linda’s greatest joy in life was her family. She was a devoted and proud mother to Billy (Ariel) Owens, Daniel Owens, and Leah (Caelan) Hunt, and a loving grandmother to Jetson and Aurora, who were the light of her life. She found true happiness in helping care for her grandchildren and celebrating the milestones and successes of her children.
Linda is survived by her beloved mother, Colleen; her sons, Billy (Ariel) Owens, Daniel Owens; daughter, Leah (Caelan) Hunt; brothers, Michael (Glen), Robert (Leslie), Jack (Jesselyn), Kenzie (Lisette); sisters, Heather (Basil), Charlene (Gerald); and grandchildren, Jetson and Aurora. She will be fondly remembered by her many nieces and nephews, aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends, all of whom she held dear.
She was predeceased by her loving husband, Harold Owens, and her father, William MacDonald.
A Funeral Service to celebrate Linda’s life will be held in St Francis De Sales in Lower River Inhabitants, Cape Breton, NS, Wednesday April 23, 2025 at 11:00am with a reception to follow in the Hall after. As per her wishes, there will be no visitation.
The family would like to extend a heartfelt thank you to Aunt Heather for her unwavering support, care, and love during this time.
