Obituary of Terrence (Terry) Dennis Kidd

Please share a memory of Terrence (Terry) to include in a keepsake book for family and friends.
April 24, 1955 - April 1, 2025 It is with profound sadness that the family of Terrence (Terry) Dennis Kidd announces his passing. Terry's stubborn spirit never wavered during his short but intense journey with cancer. He passed peacefully on April 1, 2025, surrounded by loving family members. Born to parents Lawrence and Beverly Kidd on April 24, 1955, Terry learned a strong work ethic at an early age. After finishing high school, he went to work at Manorhouse Furniture, the family business founded by our father, the late Lawrence Kidd and remained there until our dad’s passing in 2004. During his more than 35 years there, he worked in all facets of the business, but his true calling was furniture repair. He learned his craft well, becoming one of the most skilled and in demand talents in his field. At the time of his death, Terry was employed by Advance Furniture Distribution for 12 years, still honing his craft, sharing his knowledge and mentoring his colleagues. Terry was affectionately known as Unker T to his many nieces and nephews and great nieces and nephews, sharing unique bonds with them. He will be forever loved and missed by them. A lifelong fan of the Montreal Canadians, Terry’s beloved Bleu Blanc et Rouge delivered a victory on the eve of his passing - olé olé olé olé. Terry was predeceased by his father, Lawrence Kidd; mother, Miriam Kidd; as well as brothers, Michael Kidd, Robert Fisher and Jon Fisher. He is survived by sister, Judy Wombolt (Halifax); brothers, Stephen (Margot) Kidd (Ontario), Dave (Linn) Kidd (Ontario), Mark (Diana) Fisher (Halifax); and special Aunt, Peggy Davies (Ontario). Many thanks to the staff of 6A VG and 3A ICU VG for their support, kindness and caring for Terry while he was hospitalized. A celebration of life will be held on Sunday, April 27, 2025 at Station Six, 247 Herring Cove Road from 2pm to 6 pm. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in Terry’s memory to the Canadian Cancer Society or a charity of your choice. Cremation has taken place.
