Obituary of Ellen Rohanna Sampson

Ellen Rohanna (Rowe) Sampson, 54 Glace Bay, N.S. April 10, 1970-March 17, 2025. It is with great sadness that we the family announce the sudden passing of Ellen Rohanna (Rowe) Sampson, of Glace Bay on Monday, March 17, 2025, at the early age of 54. Ellen was the youngest child of the late John and Theresa (Saccary) Rowe. Ellen is survived by daughter Christina Sampson (Terry Vaughn), Newfoundland, son James Sampson of Ontario; granddaughters Alexis Rose, Kinsley Grace; grandson Garrett; as well as her fur baby Misty. Ellen is also survived by brothers: Robert (Charlene) Rowe, ON, Kevin Rowe (Nicky Wall), Ingonish, Darrell (Wanda) Rowe, Glace Bay; sisters: Florence (Russell) Nearing, Glace Bay, Doreen (Terry) MacLeod, New Waterford: sisters-in-law, Velma Rowe, Grande Cach, AB, Carol Rowe, ON,many nieces and nephews, as well as her special friends Carrie Cameron, Glace Bay and Bernice Mugford Rowe. Alongside her parents and grandparents, Ellen was predeceased by brothers Harold Rowe, Johnny Rowe, and Leo Rowe, Keith Rowe in infancy; sister-in-law, Sherry Rowe and her fur baby Zoey whom she loved and admired. In lieu of flowers, donations in Memory of Ellen may be made to the IWK Children’s Foundation or the SPCA of Cape Breton. Remember Ellen as always loving to have a good laugh and enjoyed being surrounded by great friends. Visitation will take place on Tuesday, April 22, 2025, from 12-2 p.m., and a Celebration of Life to follow at 2 p.m., with Rev. Dan Feltmate presiding, all in T.J.
