Please share a memory of Julie to include in a keepsake book for family and friends.
Christ is Risen! Indeed, He is Risen!
“I Am the Resurrection and the life; he who believes in Me, though he die, yet shall he live, and whoever lives and believes in Me shall never die”. John 11: 25-26
It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of our beloved wife and mother, Julie.
Julie was born in Talia, Lebanon in 1932. She married the love of her life, the late Halim, with whom she shared 74 years, and immigrated to Canada with their five children.
Julie was well-respected in the Lebanese community as an active member of Saint Antonios Orthodox Church and was one of the oldest parishioners to serve the Church by preparing the offering of bread on any given Sunday.
She took great pride in her family, dedicating her life to raising her children and grandchildren, often found in the kitchen preparing her delicious meals. She enjoyed telling stories and jokes, and spent her time sewing, stitching, and crafting linens of every kind. Julie created a warm and inviting atmosphere in her home and cherished visits from her family and friends. Julie enjoyed playing cards with friends and taking daily strolls in the mall with her late husband.
She will be forever loved and remembered by her children: Ibtissam Nahas (the late Norman), Salem Abou Haidar (Hala), Michael Abou Haidar (Ivana), Joseph Abou Haidar, and Antoinette Abi-Yaghi (Pierre); her sibling, Karim Abou Haidar (Salwa).
She is predeceased by her father, Toufic, and mother, Nijmeh, her son, Ibrahim, her brothers Elias, Saleem, Edward, and her sisters Yvonne, Sumaya, Sonia, Claudia.
Taita (grandmother) Julie, will always be remembered and cherished by her 12 grandchildren and 18 great-grandchildren. Her warm smile will be dearly missed by her many nieces, nephews, cousins, family, and friends.
Memory Eternal!
