Obituary of Wayne John Williams

Wayne Williams - 72 of Eastern Passage passed away March 10, 2025. Born in Sydney, Nova Scotia, he was the only son of deceased Joan and Neil Williams, and his Biological mother Cavell Gallagher (Taylor). For over 30 years, Wayne worked at the Halifax Law Courts running the printing room. He had a lifelong dedication to the Fire Service, being a volunteer from age 16 until his retirement, with the majority of his time spent with the Eastern Passage Cow Bay Fire Department. In his earlier years, he and his wife, Sharon, were very active with Scouts Canada. They were both active members of St. Alban’s Parish, Woodside. Wayne enjoyed bowling and participated in many fundraising tournaments throughout the years. He is survived by son, Jeff Williams (Suzanne); and daughter, Kate Vieth (Trevor); grandchildren, Zoe, Abigail, and Benjamin Williams, Nicholas Vieth; and special companion, Saundra Barker. He was predeceased by his loving wife, Sharon. There will be no visitation. Funeral service will be held Friday March 14, 2025 at 2:00P.M. in T.J. Tracey Cremation and Burial Specialist’s Chapel, located at 71 McQuade Lake Crescent, Halifax, Nova Scotia. Private burial to take place at a later date. Family flowers only. Donations may be made to the ALS society of Nova Scotia. We would like to thank the staff on Citadel Court at Parkstone Enhanced Care for their care of Dad over the last year.
