Obituary of Pauline Wadden

It is with profound sadness that we, the family of Pauline Wadden announce her passing on Friday, March 7, 2025, at MacGillivray Guest Home. Mom was born in Sydney, Nova Scotia, to parents, Peter and Bridget Kyte. Mom is survived by sons, Richard (Anne Nault), Kevin (Allison), and Patrick; as well as daughters, Bernadette Kennedy (Ralph), Connie (Dennis Miller), and Irene (Terry Buck), as well as special daughter Dee Harding. Mom loved her grandchildren and is survived by Leanne Parsons (Paul), Adam Kennedy (Sandrine), Teri McComber (Kyle Knysh), Jessica Coombs (Kyle), Hailey Irvine (Devin), Bryan Wadden (Brittany), Cody Nault, Joanne Wadden, Amanda Buck (Justin Grant), and Krystal Buck (Jordan Haley). She is also survived by great grandchildren, Aiden, Zachary, Nathan, Eli, Isaac, Bennett Irvine, Aiden, Bennett Grant, Clayton, Dawson, and Emily; brothers, Kevin Kyte (Donna), Leo Kyte (Mary Jane) and one sister, Irene Penny (late Ray); as well as sisters-in-law, Joan MacKay (John Allen), Margie Wadden (late Michael), Jean Wadden (Walter Hewak), Jacquie Kyte (late Patty Kyte) and Joanne Kyte (late Joseph Kyte). She was predeceased by her parents, Peter and Bridget Kyte; her husband, Howard; sisters, Rose (Hector), Mary (Darb), Veronica (late Wilfred); and brothers George (late Shirley), Joseph, Patty, Bernie, and Leo (in infancy). She was also predeceased by brother- in-law, Reg (late Bonnie), Stanley (in infancy), Tony, Stanley, Aubrey (Jeanette), Dave (late Mabel), Michael, Roddie, and sisters-in-law, Sally (in infancy), Theresa, Florence (late Howard), Carmel (late Gordon), Violet (late Alfred), Doreen (late Abbie) and Marguerite (late Billy). Mom was president of Club 55, she was a waitress in costume at the Fortress of Louisburg, she possessed a passion for cake decorating, knitting and crocheting. She loved spending time with her family, grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She also spent many hours volunteering within her community. At this time, we would like to thank the staff of MacGillivray Guest Home. Cremation has already taken place under the care and direction of T.J. Tracey Cremation and Burial Specialists, 6 Churchill Drive, Sydney, NS, 902-539-7175. Visitation will be held on Thursday, March 13, from 5-8 pm at T.J. Tracey Funeral Home. The funeral will take place on Friday March 14, at 11 am at St. Marguerite Bourgeoys Parish with a reception to follow at the church. For those unable to attend, the service will be livestreamed and can be viewed by visiting the T.J. Tracey Facebook page. In lieu of flowers, the family would appreciate donations to the Heart and Stroke Foundation or Diabetes Canada. Words of comfort may be made to the family by visiting www.tjtracey.com.
