Richard. Bernadette, Connie, Irene, Kevin,and Patrick, and families, my deepest condolences on the passing of your Mom. Mom Pauline was very special to me and the memories are many. She treated me like her own, even signing my high school yearbook as Mom. She taught me how to make fatayers and Easter Bread, She made my wedding cake and got me interested in cake decorating. She was an exceptional person and holds a special place in my heart. She will always be lovingly remembered. Praying for peace and comfort for you all, Pamela

Nanny, From the famous fatayers to her beautifully decorated cakes, she has passionately baked and cooked for many of us lucky ones. She loved sharing a good meal in her welcoming home, and made everyone feel special no matter how long she knew them. Her kids, grandkids and great grandkids were her life and pride and she always had stories about one or the other. We will miss you. RIP Nanny Adam & Sandrine

So sorry to hear of Pauline’s passing… she was always kind to the teachers at Catalone School, randomly bringing us yummy treats … before she left Catalone , I would pick up her donations for the Mainadieu Christmas tea and sale each year. She would give me money as well to buy her tickets while I was at the tea and sale… off I’d go with her delicious goodies and her ticket money… very kind and very generous … that’s how I will remember Pauline….

Pauline and I met when I moved to Cape Breton for a short time in 2003-2004. She was such an amazing woman, full of love and kindness. She made me feel so welcome and I loved the time I spent with her. She was like a second Mom to me even though we were together for such a short time. That was just who she was, easy to talk to and certainly a pleasure to be with. She introduced me to lobster dinners as well as corned beef dinners. She was an amazing cook and I particularly loved her fudge! We have spoken over the years and she still made me feel important to her even though we were on other sides of the country. I will truly miss our connection. My heart goes out to the entire Wadden Family. Deb Hamilton

Bernadette, Ralph and Wadden family: We are so very sorry for your loss. Losing a mother is a very difficult thing to do regardless of how old you are. Pauline will always be remembered as the baker of our wedding cake. Her cooking and baking was second to none. She will be sadly missed.

We are sending you all our sympathy in the loss of Pauline. She was a strong woman who did all she could for her family and her community. Her energy was epic. She never stopped doing for others until her last few years. Her willingness to share with others was her special gift. She taught her children to be the same. Personally, Pauline gave me a taste for Lebanonese food. She was a great cook. I have enjoyed it often since she introduced it to me. She will be remembered for all her many gifts which she shared willingly. My sympathy to all her friends and family.

I will remember Pauline, as always wanting to feed everyone she loved to cook. When I've gone with Bernadette to Cape Breton for a run with some other friends from Halifax, she always made us a big turkey dinner and a great carrot cake.
