Kenneth Romard
Glace Bay, N.S.
On March 6th, 2025, we suddenly lost the heart of our family, Kenneth, who was born earlier then expected and was a fighter since day one. He was the son of the late Joseph and Diane (Hanrahan) Romard.
Ken attended MacKay’s Corner Elementary, where he met countless friends, and still has to this day. Ken graduated from Glace Bay High School and continued his education in UCCB where he graduated from with a diploma in Electronic Engineering. He worked with the Cadet Program for several years and made many long-lasting friendships while there.
Ken always had a great love of music and found his passion with the band Full Circle; Ken made multiple friends there whom he considered to be more like family.
Kenneth's genuine love has been and continually will be his Family. He and Vicki started dating in 1994 and married September 22, 2001. They then welcomed a daughter and a son, whom Ken always referred to as his little girl and his little boy.
Left to mourn is his wife Vicki (King), children Isabella "Parker" and Scott; a brother Derek (Lana), sister Jennifer, sister-in-law Pauline, brother-in-law Ryan, mother and father-in-law Darrell and Donna King; nieces Samantha, Nicole, Alyssa, Quinn, Kylie and Scarlett; nephews Aaron, Logan and Harrison; grand nieces Irelynn, Priscilla, Jocelyn and Holly.
Also left to mourn are his brother from another mother Bernie Gouthro; band family, Dave and Anita, Donnie and Ashley, Dan, Dale and Joan; as well as his friend and partner in crime Johnny Mullins.
Along with his parents Joseph and Diane (Hanrahan) Romard, Ken was predeceased by a brother Blain Gouthro and sister-in-law Tracey King as well as his second "Ma" Mary Gouthro and both sets of grandparents, and several aunts and uncles.
Cremation has taken place. Visitation will be held on Wednesday March 12, 2025, from 12-2 p.m., with Celebration of Life to follow at 2 p.m., all in T.J. Tracey Cremation and Burial Specialists, 370 Reserve St., Glace Bay, N.S. 902-849-4199.
