Obituary of Charles Michael Musial

Please share a memory of Charles to include in a keepsake book for family and friends.
No words can express how shattered my heart is to announce the sudden passing of my amazing dad who passed peacefully in his sleep at his home on Tuesday, March 4. He was the son to Charles and Helen Musial. As per the family’s wishes, there will be no visitation or service. My dad… The most loving, caring, and thoughtful man I have ever known. He always stepped up to help anyone where he could, especially me, his daughter Charlene. There was nothing he wouldn’t do even if it meant sacrificing his own life to better mine. He cherished every single day that he spent with me and his precious gem, grandson Colby. Rarely did he ever miss a day at the hockey rinks and ball fields where Colby was found having fun, as he truly meant the world to my dad. There are honestly no words to describe how missed he will be by many, as well as, for being the wonderful pawpaw to Coco and Leon. We find comfort with him being reunited with my loving mom, Sheila, his parents, Charles and Helen, brother, Morris and sister-in-law, Alice. “A Jack of all Trades” can easily summarize my dad’s love for getting the job done. He may not have been the most particular finisher with the many carpentry and mechanical jobs that he tackled but he always said with a chuckle “it’s good enough”. He was a professional tradesman holding two Red Seal Certifications, Millwright and Steamfitter / Pipefitter. He worked at the Sydney Steel Plant until its closure in 1992 with continuation of the cleanup for several years. After challenging the Steamfitters / Pipefitters exam in his later years, he worked many shutdowns throughout Ontario and Alberta which he very much enjoyed. I could never be more proud to call him my dad. He is survived by Colby’s dad, Kevin, who will always be his special son-in-law; son, Shane; sister, Betty Musial; brother, Paul Musial (Barbara); brother, Carl Musial; sister-in-law, Bridget Musial; several nieces, nephews and many cousins. Our family would like to extend gratitude to my dad’s exceptional neighbour, Joseph Gallant, who was helpful in many ways.
