So many memories over the years, from coming over to Canada and you coming to us and we went to Spain, Greece, and camping and caravaning in places in the UK.
Precious memories of all of us together enjoying the times we had we will treasure these memories forever.
I remember when you brought me my first motorbike and taught me to ride it. A love I still have now.
We used to go bird watching round the fields and woods back home and fishing in ponds and canals.
I remember fetching your beer from the pub on the estate in the old Corona pop bottles so you had a drink after doing the gardening.
I helped you build the extension on the old house and you helped me build dens.
Always there for us no matter what with love and open arms. When you used to back from from the pit and dump your tools in the garage and paid me to tidy it up. I used the money from that to buy my canaries and finches that we both enjoyed watching.
When I stayed with you in the 80s in Canada, you and Carlie were great to me and welcomed me with open arms into your home you took me skiing and to the ice hockey and loads of places to visit on the island you finally came to rest in and loved so much.
I can’t thank you enough for everything you’ve done for me and my family over the years.
Loves ya so much Pops xxx

I have so many happy memories as a child with my Dad, I especially enjoyed our holidays when we were all together as a family in England, one that stands out for me is our time at Butlins when my Dad decided whilst on the boating lake to pick out a duckling, he then kept it in the bath in our chalet for the remainder of the holiday then he travelled home in a upside down party hat on my Mom’s lap splashing in the water, when we got home Dad made him a place to live in our garden, and we named him Donald, he lived many happy years. These memories and many others will stay with me forever.
My Dad may have been miles away from me in England, but he was always in my thoughts and I always loved him, my sister Lynne was my lifeline to him and I take comfort from being with her during a FaceTime call with Dad when he passed away, I thank my sister for making this possible.
Dad is now at peace and free from the horrible disease that had taken a hold of his body and mind, I hope he is in a happier place and is reunited with his Mom, Dad, and sisters Margaret and Anne.
Until we meet again Dad, rest in peace now, loves ya.xx

Uncle Sid
Fond memories of you visiting us in the summer when you were over from Canada.. & my nan would always tell funny stories of you as a young boy shooting the ceiling with a gun and opening the ceiling hatch with a piece of string to scare her, Ann, Barbara and Margaret.
I’ve attached the last photos of you when you were over in 2015 after I’d had Eddie.
May you now be at peace xx

I was so saddened to hear of Sid's passing. He was a very good friend to my late husband, Buddy. Buddy and I enjoyed our visits with Sid and Carlie, and after Buddy's passing, Sid and Carlie visited me often, bringing flowers and a smile. We always had a great time on our visits, talking and laughing. Sid was an easy man to like. He was a gentleman. Very smart, funny, loyal, and kind. His devotion to his family was obvious to anyone who knew him. My deepest condolences to Carlie and the family. You are in my thoughts and prayers, and if there is anything I can do, just let me know.

My Uncle Sid
My Moms Brother and a very loved Brother, My Mom would always talk about her brother as a child, and you would get the sense that he was everyone’s friend. I think listening to t the stories he actually used to play everyone up, he was a bit of joker and liked a bit of ruff and tumble with his sisters.
My mom used to say when they were kids they had no lighting upstairs in their house and they used to take candles to bed, Sid being the only boy would lead the way and draw smoke marks on the wall out of the soot, knowing they would all get in trouble.
I always remember the story where Sid tied a piece of string through the loft hatch, run the string down the wall through a hole in the ceiling in the bedroom and when one of his sisters walked up stairs he would pull it and frighten them to death.
It sounds like Sid was a real handful as a Kid, but my mom loved the bones of him. She would be heartbroken at his passing if she was still here. Although he was miles away in Canada, she aways thought about him, she always wanted him to be ok.
Sid’s Mom and Dad idolised him, he really was their only Son, we all used to go on holiday together when we were younger, there were many time all of us cousins would meet up in Towyn Wales for our summer caravan holidays, I have many amazing childhood memories of my uncle Sid, the years where none of us had any cares, he was always the uncle that said yes.
I remember going to Butlins, we all went as families, Lynne, Tony and Vicki didn’t want to go in for the Donkey Derby, but some how he got me on the back of this donkey and sent me off on a race track, I have no idea how he got 11 year old me on the back of a donkey while everyone was taking bets that I would actually finish.
As a kid it was uncle Sid that took all the photos, he was responsible for many of our recorded memories.
The pictures are Sid as a child with his sisters in Blackpool on there once a years holiday, they always had a holiday together.
Pictures of our Holidays in Towyn Wales and with His Mom and Dad,
Sid as a Baby, Sid when he came to the UK in 2011 we went out for a meal and the house where he was born at 53 Arthur Street Wimblebury England, the one with the lamppost outside,
His grand Parents lived next door, although His Grandad Enoch dies at an early age due to Gas inhalation in the 1914 war, My Grandad Jim Degg, Sid's dad was always very proud of his medals from the war and giving them Sid to look after.
Farwell Uncle Sid, From Your English Family, Ken, Paul, Adrian xx
Much love to his Children and their families and his Wife Carly, also love from his other family over in England that may not be able to upload memories or pictures, I absolutely know they would all want to share their stories and love, but the internet is still very knew in our aging family, but I know Sid will be missed and loved by them all xxx
