Obituary of Russell Boudreau

Russel Boudreau, 83 Dominion, N.S. It is with heavy hearts we announce the passing of Russell Boudreau of Dominion, N.S., on February 25, 2025, at the age of 83. He was the son of the late Freddy and Viola Boudreau of Dominion, N.S. He leaves behind the love of his life Rita Boudreau, son David, daughter Melissa (Gordon) MacDonald, grandson Lucas, his brothers Gerard (Valerie) and Jimmy, sisters Diane Anderson and Margie (Johnny) King, sister-in-law Gert, and many more nieces, nephews, and cousins. Along with his parents, Russell was predeceased by his daughter Michelle, brother G.G., sister Joanne in infancy, brother-in-law Jack Anderson, sisters-in-law Gloria and Renate. Russell will be remembered for his dedication and professionalism in his work of installing carpets in many homes over Cape Breton. He took pride in his career and would receive compliments for many years afterwards from his clients. Russell was involved in community activities such as the Scouts and working in the Men's Club as a Bingo caller for the Immaculate Conception Church. In his free time Russell loved dancing especially to polka music and line dancing. He enjoyed ice skating, roller skating, and playing darts at the Dominion Legion. The family wishes to thank the doctors, nurses and caregivers who looked after him on both 3rd and 4th floor of the Glace Bay hospital, and the Palliative Care nurses and doctors in the Sydney Regional Hospital who made him comfortable during his time there. We would also like to thank Jan Hildegard for driving from Yarmouth to be with Russell in his final days. The family will be holding their own memorial service to honor his memory and appreciate having this time to mourn. Cremation has taken place under the care and compassion of T.J.
