Judy Mae Pickrem, age 81, of Halifax passed away on January 31, 2025 in the QEII Halifax Infirmary.
Born in Halifax, NS she was the daughter of the late, James and Kathleen (Currie) Mahoney.
Judy had a full career with MT&T. upon retirement she went into Real Estate and then property management, and then onto an adventure in Health Care at the QEII and Northwood Manor where she at the age of 81 finally retired.
Judy was an avid bingo player and loved her trips to the States, the saltwater beaches.
She was a proud hockey and equestrian mom who spent many hours in those arena's supporting her kids and grandkids.
She was an amazing and devoted daughter, wife, mother, grandmother, great grandmother, sister and friend. She was loving, strong, compassionate, hardworking and fiercely protective of our family. Words cannot describe how much she will be missed.
We now have an Angel in heaven watching over us. We will take care of Dad down here. You can rest in peace now Mom. Until we meet again.
She is survived by her husband, Ronald James “Butch” of 62 years; sons, Frank James (Michelle), Barry Douglas (Charlene); daughter, Michele Denise; brothers, Dougie, Kenny, Jimmy, Teddy; sisters, Margaret, Corrine, Barbara; grandchildren, Ashley Dorey, Kyle Dorey, Corey Pickrem (Eve), Morgan (Eddy) Clark; great-grandchildren, Aaliyah, Easton, Charlie, Benjamin, Jackson, Mason, Ellie.
She was predeceased by her brothers, Bobby, Patty and John.
A celebration of life will be held in the Sackville legion, on Monday February 10, 2025 from 12pm-3pm.
