It was both a pleasure and a privilege to be part of Lester’s final journey. He was a quietly personable, always thoughtful, eager to succeed, profoundly interesting and wonderfully intelligent man. It was an honour to support him and listen to his stories as he reflected back upon his life, hearing of these experiences/accomplishments and the people within those chapters. Lester was VERY family oriented and was so grateful to have shared roofs with you all. You boys and families were truly his compass and his joy. He loved you all dearly and you each contributed significantly to the loving layers of his emotional heart! You are a beautiful family and I wish you much peace, love and light as the Szabó lineage continues on this year with new life and love. Warm hugs to you all, Heather and Sophie

Bill and I were saddened to hear of Lester’s passing. He was such a kind and learned man. My impression of him over the twenty plus years that I knew him was that he approached life with joy - you could see how happy he was spending time with his sons and their wives and later with his beautiful Grandchildren. He was always so gracious and I often thought when I was in his presence that the world could use more people like Lester and for that matter Betty. Our deepest condolences to Steve and Geoff and family.

Steve, Maggie,Jeff, Wendy, David, Jen, Laura, Ryan, Emily and Alex- You are all in our thoughts. Lester was a such a sweet gentleman. We loved talking with him over the years. We have such great memories of visits with your parents both in PEI and here in NS. This is one of our favourite pictures of Lester taken at Emily’s wedding. Karen and Jeff.
