LAUZON, Philippa “Phil” Jane- Age 59 of Bedford passed away July 31, 2020 peacefully at the QEII Halifax Infirmary Site. Born in Clapham, South London, UK, she was a daughter of Donald and Elise Hurd and daughter-in-law of Marg and Rudy Lauzon. She was an amazing loving wife, mother, daughter, grandmother, aunt and so much more to everyone she loved. Philippa was a strong, beautiful woman who loved her family and friends above and beyond. Her 4 grandchildren were her pride and joy. Her tenacious and unrelenting spirit was always on constant display throughout her 7-year battle with Leukemia and Amyloidosis. She never relented and set an example that will never be forgotten. Phil is at peace now and her soul resides in Heaven. She loved to golf and take trips to PEI with her friends. She worked many careers over her lifetime, she worked as a Realtor for Prudential Property Specialists, AIC Mutual Funds, TD Bank Investments, and a volunteer for Hope for Wildlife. She is survived by her loving husband John Lauzon of 20 years; sons Kristoffer (Laura) Osmond & Ryan (Crystal) Lauzon; daughter, Jessica (Jordon) Doucet; grandchildren Meadow, Everleigh, Morgan and Taylor; brothers, Simon (Sharon), Robert (Celia) and Bruce (Angie); sisters, Catherine (Jerome), Leeanne (Tom) and Rita (Laurie); nieces and nephews; Tamsen, Sebastian, Andrew, Matthew, Jordan, Callie, William, Conall, Alasdair and Gavin. She was predeceased by paternal grandparents, Sydney, and Lilian May Hurd; maternal grandparents, Heinrich Jakob and Franziska Ritchter; son, Kyle Lauzon. Arrangements and cremation have been entrusted to T.J. Tracey Cremation and Burial Specialists, 71 McQuade Lake Crescent, Halifax, N.S. In keeping with Philippa’s wishes there will be a Celebration of Life Thursday August 6, 2020 at 1 p.m. at 345 Kearney Lake Road Halifax, B4B 1H6. Family flowers can be sent to T.J.
