Daniel Gregory “Butch” McDonald Gardiner Mines It is with heavy hearts that we regret to announce the sudden passing of our father and grandfather, Daniel Gregory "Butch" McDonald on Friday, January 8, 2021 at his home in Gardiner Mines. He was born in Glace Bay and was the son of the late George and Catherine (McNeil) McDonald. Butch was a former employee of Nova Scotia Power in Lingan for 30 plus years until his retirement in 2004. In his early years he worked at the Heavy Water Plant in Glace Bay and Honeywell, in Ontario. Butch is survived by his wife Isabell (MacIssac); Son, Brian (Barb), Kitchener, Ontario; Daughter, Michelle (Vince), Reserve Mines and Daughter-in-law, Aimee, Jonesboro, Arkansas. He is also survived by one Brother, George ( Marie) McDonald, Kitchener, Ontario; Four sisters, Barb ( Dougie) Hayes, Anita McDonald, Diane Addicott and Joan Colette; six Grandchildren, Blake, Emily, Kadence, Gregory, Ethan and Alex, as well as one great grandson, Hunter; and one niece and many nephews. Butch will be greatly missed by his best friend Jimmy Mackie. Besides his parents, Butch was predeceased by his daughter Cathy and son Jason. Cremation has taken place. A Celebration of Life will be held at 2 p.m., on Friday, January 15, 2021 at T.J. Tracey Cremation and Burial Specialists, 370 Reserve St., Glace Bay. (902) 849-4199, with Fr.
