Bernadette Angela Wiseman (née Buckley) Glace Bay It is with saddened hearts that we the family announce the sudden passing of Bernadette Wiseman, age 79, at the Cape Breton Regional Hospital, Sydney. Born in Glace Bay, she was the daughter of the late Minnie (Verbiski) and Frank Buckley. Bernadette was a homemaker, previously employed as a medical secretary and in finances. She loved Christmas and all the decorations that went with the season, she enjoyed decorating and hosting parties for her children for all occasions, she loved the theater, she travelled broadly in her youth, living briefly in New York and Hawaii. Bernadette is survived by her sons, John Bradley Wiseman, Glace Bay, Christian Noel Wiseman (Wendy Wiseman), Bermuda, daughter, Dr. Daniele Patrice Wiseman (Bill Maxwell), London, Ontario; her grandchildren, Lauren and Nicolas Maxwell, Nate, Zoe and Bram Wiseman. Besides her parents, Minnie and Frank; she was predeceased by her very beloved Aunt Etta and Uncle Bernie Verbiski, beloved grandmother, Angela Verbiski, her husband Daniel ‘Donnie’ Wiseman. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Heart and Stroke Foundation or the Humane Society. The family would like to thank the QE11 Cardiac Care Unit, Cape Breton Regional Hospital, ICU and Emergency Department and nurse Michelle for all their care and compassion and her beloved son Bradley Wiseman for always being there. Cremation has taken place. A private graveside service will be held at a later date.
