Dooda and Jimmy were my second parents growing up. I have such wonderful memories of sleepovers, cards, bingo, mini bikes and of course the little car. Dooda always made me feel like part of the family as she did with everyone she met. An amazing lady ❤️❤️

Karen and Kelly, I can’t believe I am reading this and I am so sorry for your loss. I will always treasure my memories with Dooda at Oakwood like singing songs dancing, and cracking jokes with her. No one shone as bright as she did!

To Karen and Kelly. I am so sorry to hear about your wonderful Mom. I absolutely loved being around her and working with her over the years at Oakwood. I could feel the live she had for you both and your families when she would talk about you. There will never be another woman like your Mom!

Very sorry to read of Dooda’s passing…she & Jimmy were good friends of our parents Kay & Murdock MacNeil. You were always guaranteed a huge laugh when Dooda was on the scene as you never knew exactly how you would be greeted.. thankfully for us we never ticked her off. Her pride and joy was her family and God help if anyone messed with them. Rest in Peace Dooda, we will remember you always. Condolences to Karen & Kelly and all family & friends.

Dear Karen and kelly, I'm so sorry to read about Dooda's passing we lived in the same apt building in Sydney. Your mom was the first person I met there and after just a few words out of her I knew she would be a good friend and someone you could count on always. Dooda was well likes by all in our building and there was sixty one of us. I would drive her to the shopping centre to get the bus to NB or the USA for bingo oh how she loved that. Again I'm so sorry for your loss I wanted to see her so many times but I could not remember where you lived in Lantz. Thinking of you all Thomas Mcinnis God Bless.

Dear Karen, Glenn, Faith, Alex, Josh & Brianna, we are heartbroken for the loss of your Mom, Nanny. She was a spitfire, and a woman who loved her family dearly. May she be at peace now and rest in the arms of Jesus. You are in my thoughts and prayers. Love to you all. XO ♥️

So sorry to hear that Duda has passed away. I had the good fortune of meeting her as her brother Junior was my neighbour for many years.. I do remember the yummy treats ..especially her date squares that she would always arrive with… Junior fore warned me before I initially met her about her descriptive nouns and adjectives!! they floated so naturally over her tongue. She was a sweetie. I always enjoyed her company at the Crowley‘s home on Monteith Avenue… my deepest condolences to her family

Dooda was such a kind, lovely person. I adored her “dinner plate sized” pierogies! It was always a great day at Grammy’s house when we got that special treat! I remember the beautiful blankets she made for my babies and how sweet she was to do that. This is the best obituary I have ever read and I know that Dooda is loving this tribute to her well-lived life as she plays bingo up in heaven! -Laureena

Dooda was a big part of my childhood, growing up on Braemar Drive. She helped and supported our large family , a great deal. Sometimes, my mom needed help cleaning the big family home...Dooda was there. Sometimes, my grandmother needed a caregiver when everyone was committed to being somewhere else...Dooda was there. Sometimes the house was empty and needed watching...Dooda was there. One time, I got my big toe stuck in the head of our vaccum while I was a teen...Dooda was there to help me get it out. I remember her love for BINGO and lotto tickets and it was always exciting to hear if she was a lucky winner or not. She was tough and not afraid of anything. But she was so sweet and would do anything to help us out. I will always remember her with love. My condolences to Karen, Kelly and all of their family. xo
