A lot of years have passed, but the memories of growing up on Douglas Ave as a teenager are still very vivid... Back in those days there where 6 of us, known as the dirty half dozen. Shawn, Aubrey,Clayton, Darryl, Dixie and myself Tony. We all went in different directions as we grew up, but those child hood years were the best. Shawn was definitely the adventurer type, and someone that would give you the shirt off his back. Thank you Shawn for all the great memories. Tony Littler

Thoughts and prayers to Janet and Shawn's family back home . I met Shawn 25yrs ago at Nestle loving his humor, energy , kindness to others and above all the true friendship we developed together over the years . He was so much fun to work with so quick , sharp , patient and always the first one in to help . Shawn was very supportive of me when i was learning to operate , someone to look up to , he was and still is my MVP ! We at Nestle will have Shawn's initials SB on the back of our safety hats in honor of him . He meant so much much to his Nestle family and friends so loved and cherished by all . Shawn, you really were the best, just like your helmet said! Always kind, friendly, funny. You made everyone feel like they were your best bud. You could cheer us up and entertain us like no other, but you also was just as interested in talking about our lives and yours. Nestle will never feel the same. I worked with Shawn when he first started Nestle. He sure was an incredible man and love life. His one liners and quick come backs were priceless. Working with Shawn at Nestle always put a smile on my face. It’s hard not seeing him everyday but I know he would be the one cheering us up and telling us to keep strong. Uncle Shawn...the world is a little less bright with you not in it. You truly were a shining light and you had an amazing gift to make the people around you feel pure joy. Being the funny jokester seems to be a trait that is passed down in our family and I know you are smiling down on your nephew who will keep that tradition going. Thank you for welcoming me into your home 23 years ago and making the transition away from my family a little easier...having that year with you is something I will always treasure. I am so grateful that you had the opportunity to be a Great Uncle...children just gravitated to you and felt so comfortable in your arms. You lived your life always thinking of others and that is evident by the huge outpouring of love, support and grief from so many. We all knew you were Nanny’s favourite so I have no doubt you will be well taken care of in heaven. We may have lost an amazing soul but heaven gained an Angel and Nanny got her baby boy back!
