We were saddened to learn of Gerard’s death. I think of him often still. He was a fine musician, an inspiration to everyone who had the privilege of playing alongside him, such a kind and gentle person, a mentor. I treasure that wonderful arrangement of Acadian songs he did when he played with the Fanfare régionale de Clare after he retired, and the many energetic hours we spent playing clarinet together practicing our duets from Bach. Please accept our sincere condolences. James & Aline Quinlan

To Geraldine, Cheryl, Annette and Joan
We were so saddened to read of Gerard’s passing. Geraldine, be assured that our parents (Rose and Emile Frontain) considered you and Gerard very close friends and enjoyed many happy times visiting when you lived in Halifax and in the country. Dad and Gerard shared a love of music and we always knew that our father loved being in the choir for many years under Gerard’s direction. Please know that we are thinking of you during this difficult time.
