    I remember Fred would say to me, “what did you do with the money your mother gave you” and I’d say, “what money” Fred would say, “the money she gave you for singing lessons” and then we would both laugh.
    I was a neighbor of Fred’s when he lived on Seaview Street and grew as a kid knowing him.

    Sorry to hear about Freddie. He was a fixture at the Forum and South St ball park during my growing up years and his obituary is ” right on ” ( as Fred used to say ) in that he was an excellent fastball pitcher and a terrific skater. I’ll always remember his confident swagger. Our deepest condolences to his family.
