Freeman Henry Walsh, age 87 of Halifax (formerly of Pockwock), passed away March 3rd 2019 at the Veterans Memorial Building, Halifax.
Born in Tangier, Nova Scotia, he was a son of William and Bessie (MacDonald) Walsh.
Freeman was a Korean War Veteran, car salesman, taxi driver, and auto body worker in his younger years. He enjoyed baseball, bowling, darts, a good poker game, and a drink of whiskey.
He is survived by his brother Harold (Mary) of Falmouth NS; Roxie of Sackville NS, Alice of Hammonds Plains NS, and Deanie. (Joe) of Sackville NS; as well as several nieces and nephews.
Beside his parents, Freeman was predeceased by wife Hazel of 30 years; and sisters Jessie, Margaret, Claire.
No visitation will be held.
A memorial service will be held on Saturday, March 9th at 10:30 AM at St, John Vianney Church, 4 Beaver Bank Road, Lower Sackville NS, with reception to follow downstairs.
Interment will be held at a later date.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to a charity of your choice.
