He is survived by his former spouse Debbie (Gullens) Benjamin; daughters; Tammy (Jonathan) Strickland, Melanie (Mike Connolly), Mandy, and Katie (Jon Webber), and his beautiful grandchildren, Emma and Jack Connolly. Edgar had many nieces and nephews who he loved, Krista, Corey, Johnny, Jill, Peter, Mark, Roxanne, Andrew, Angie, Jennifer, Paul, Matthew, Phillip and Justine.
Edgar was an exceptional man who brought light and laughter to every room he entered. He had the ability to captivate you with his long, incredible stories (Piddlehead and Dingledorf). Strangers became friends, and friends were there for a lifetime. Nothing brought Edgar more joy than watching Jack and Emma play basketball, he rarely missed a game.
