Dye, Beverley Eva – 72 of Halifax. It is with broken hearts that we announce the sudden passing of our mother, sister, partner and friend on Tuesday, October 20, 2015. She will be missed by many as she touched the hearts of all who met her.
Born in Glace Bay, February 5, 1943. She was proud to call herself a Cape Bretoner. She taught in Glace Bay and Mahone Bay for many years and later catered. She was predeceased by her loving husband, Rev. William Dye. Beverley is survived by her children: Robert, Allyson, and Bruce (Kelly) Dye; her partner Tom Chiasson; her brothers Roy (Edith) Moffatt and Robert (Karen) Moffatt; her brother-in-law Syl (Cathy) Phalen; and her nieces and nephews and their children.
She was a very social lady and enjoyed singing, knitting, bowling, Crown Jewels group, time with neighbours and friends. She was always active in her community, has left an unforgettable imprint on many lives and has always been of active service to others in need.
If you knew mom she was always stylish – “the brighter the better- orange being her fav”; help us celebrate her light and life by wearing something bright to her memorial service.
A Memorial service will be held at 2 p.m. on Sunday, October 25th at Anglican Church of the Apostles (the corner of Connaught Avenue and Bayers Road), reception to follow.
