Anthony “Tony” McIntosh

Anthony ‘Tony’ McIntosh

Glace Bay

It is with broken hearts that we, the family, announce the passing of Tony McIntosh on April 9, 2018 at the Cape Breton Regional Hospital, Sydney with his family by his side. Born in Glace Bay, he was the son of the late Anthony and Susan (Carrigan) McIntosh.

Tony’s pride and joy was his daughter, Cindy, his granddaughters Kendra and Jocelyn. Tony was employed as a mapper for the Province of Nova Scotia and enjoyed many friendships he made there. Tony will forever be remembered as an artist, having a passion for his hometown which is found in his many pen and ink drawings. A soft, caring person, he will be forever missed. Until we meet again.

Tony is survived by his loving wife, Rose Marie (Jesso-Wood) McIntosh; his daughter, Cindy McIntosh (George); his five stepchildren, Barbie Clarke, Heather Wood, Steven Wood, Eric Wood and Cheryl Wood; two granddaughters, Kendra and Jocelyn; five step grandsons, Nathan, Kameron, Kirkland, Riley and Hayden. He is also survived by his two brothers, Martin and John (Joan); three sisters, Cecilia McIntosh, Sally (Percy) McDonald and Kathy Moffat, as well as many nieces and nephews.

Cremation has taken. Visitation will be held Saturday, April 14, 2018 from 2-4 p.m. at the T.J. Tracey Cremation and Burial Specialists, 370 Reserve St., Glace Bay, NS 902-849-4199.
